Dr. Jacob Vo is the Founder and Executive Director of JV Admissions Consulting, where he combines his background in education, medicine, mentorship, and admissions strategy to help students navigate the college admissions process with greater clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Dr. Vo began his academic journey at Stanford University, where he completed his undergraduate education. He later attended Harvard Medical School and continued his post-training at Harvard. His experiences at two of the world's most selective academic institutions gave him firsthand insight into the level of intellectual curiosity, discipline, and personal development required to thrive in highly competitive environments.

Over time, Dr. Vo became increasingly drawn to education, mentorship, and helping young people discover and communicate what makes them distinctive. That passion ultimately led him to build JV Admissions Consulting, where he now works closely with students and families throughout the college admissions process.

His approach goes far beyond simply helping students complete applications. Dr. Vo works to understand each student's academic interests, personality, experiences, goals, and potential, then helps them develop a cohesive narrative that reflects who they genuinely are. Whether he is helping a student build an academic and extracurricular strategy years before applying or refining the final pieces of an application, his focus remains the same: helping students present the strongest and most authentic version of themselves.

His professional experience has also shaped his holistic approach to advising. Through his work in admissions, curriculum development, academic advising, and student success, Dr. Vo has developed a deep understanding of how students grow and how institutions evaluate them. His previous experience as an Admissions Director provided additional insight into the selection process and reinforced his belief that the strongest applicants are rarely defined by a single achievement. Instead, they demonstrate intellectual depth, initiative, character, and a clear sense of purpose.
